Why are there no kings in the USA and what does it mean to be antifa?
It's quite simple. The belief in self-rule and not submitting to the whims of a tyrannical king is a founding principle of the United States of America. One of my own ancestors, George Walton, was a signer of the Declaration of Independence!
Either you are against facism and pro-Democracy or you and the opposite- anti-Democracy and pro-facism. A large swath of the business elites in the USA have gone all in on breaking Democracy in believing that 'We the people' can't decide for ourselves the direction of our government. Rest assured that Damn Good Doormats is not one of those anti-Democratic corporations. We believe that every person is entitled to vote for the future of America. It's time to do away with the Electoral College and use a real count of individual votes.
A record setting 7+ million people protested against Donald Trump and his regime on October 18th, 2025. The January 6th, 2021 insurrection had an estimated 53,000 people in attendance of which 1,575 participants were charged with crimes. That's around 2.97% of everyone who was there. If 2.97% of No Kings protesters were charged that would be 207,900 people. It has been reported that there were.... wait for it.... ZERO protest related arrests made during the No Kings Day. It was a day filled with fun and community.
When did Americans first start resisting tyranny and become antifa?
"When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty". When I read this quote I assumed it was from Star Wars, but surprise, surprise, it is a quote from Thomas Jefferson. Americans have been resisting tyrannical regimes since 1770- keep up the fight to save Democracy!
The anti-facist movement began with World War 2. Just ask your Grandpa.

We have expressed our anger through protests and speaking out, but what do we do now? Money. The rich have taken our voice when Citizens United let them funnel unlimited cash into elections. Depriving corporations of our dollars is the best way we have to express just how pissed off we are. Boycotts work. In Q4 (that's the 4th quarter of the year for non-corporate folx) is Christmas shopping season, when retailers expect to make a chunk of their yearly profits. Boycotting all big box stores in Q4 will crush their yearly profits & send a strong message that they work for us.
