In a shocking turn of events, the USPS has actually lowered their international shipping rates! So in return, so have we! Australia is a full $12 off, the UK eight dollars off, the EU $8 off and the US $1 off!

I love painting dogs! It's no secret to my friends that I am dog obsessed. I will stop the car to peta pug for sure. 

Here, at my painting studio, I regularly do doggy drawing sessions. I follow pups around with my sketchpad and sumi ink brushes & have at it. I finally translated these puppies onto doormats. My favs so far!!!

So, the husband has been training HARD for athe last 6 months to run his first marathon. The Big Sur marathon annnd- he did it! 5:31:21

He spoke to one single other runner during the race & she had gotten a Damn Good Doormat! Over 4,000 runners and all the way out in California he happened to to find that out!

You may not know, but the doormat mine is smack dab in the middle of downtown Baltimore. On Saturday the 7/11 next to our studio was smashed and looted along with other businesses. Cars tires were slashed as they drove and bricks thrown through motorists window. Random violence was erupting. Monday we returned to the doormat mines.  We walked the dogs, about to head home, when we saw the 20 or so cops in riot gear hiding in the 7/11 parking lots. We thought- time to get out of here quick! 

We here at Damn Good Doormats are eco-conscious. We don't want our company to be the source of pollution to the planet. To that effort, we use the renewable resource of sustainable coir (coconut husks) for our mats, ship carbon neutral, sweep up our coco fibers and donate them to a local mushroom farmer and now we flocculate. Science is fun! We remove all the paint solids from our waste water before disposing.
